OCS participated and Supported GPON "plug and play" interoperability event organized by ETSI and FSAN  

In July, 2009, ETSI and FSAN organized the GPON "plug and play" interoperability test event. As the Press Release issued by ETSI and FSAN indicated that "The latest ETSI Plugtests testing event has significantly advanced industry confidence in the interoperability of Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Networks (GPON). ... Its focus was on verifying correct implementations of the ITU-T OMCI Implementers' guide (OMCI is the Optical Network Termination (ONT) Management and Control Interface).". To the best of our knowledge, all the OCS customers who used OCS supplied OMCI management solution reached to their expectation when participated this "plug and play" test event.

OpenCon Systems Joined Full Service Access Network (FSAN)  

OpenCon Systems Inc. (OCS) recently joined the Full Service Access Network (FSAN) Group. FSAN is an interest group for the world's leading telecommunications services providers, equipment suppliers, and independent test labs to work towards a common goal of fiber-based broadband access networks.
Being a primary supplier of the OMCI stack, ONT total software solution and OLT management solution, OCS' attendance at the FSAN sponsored forums/events would certainly facilitate OCS to better understand the vendor interoperability issues and the concerns of the OMCI Implementation Study Group (OISG). OCS' participation in FSAN discussion groups would enable OCS to provide a better GPON management solution that meets the requirements of equipment suppliers and service providers.
