OpenCon Systems, Inc. (OCS) was founded in May 1991 as a software solution and network equipment provider specializing in the development of high-end communications systems and solutions. The Company grew rapidly by delivering high quality, sophisticated 'cornerstone' products and solutions to its key customers. The Company has become a well-respected provider of software solution, and design and engineering house for transmission, access and switching equipment vendors.

The Company's initial success was based on Embedded Network Management System Solution for transmission equipment such as Synchronous Optical NETwork (SONET) and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) fiber loop multiplexers. Later, the Company expanded its expertise to cover much lager areas and provides software and/or total solutions for Carrier Ethernet, Residential Gateway, Network Management System (NMS) and GR-303 Integrated management package for Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier (NGDLC) systems.

Via its wholly owned subsidiary company in US -- Cyberpath Inc. (www.cyberpathinc.com), OCS also offers various hardware product which includes Layer 2, Layer 3 Ethernet Switches and Power over Ethernet Switches (PoE). In 2006, OCS established a wholly owned subsidiary company in Chengdu China -- OpenCon Cyberpath China Ltd.  (www.opencon.com.cn), which enables OCS to be better positioned to support its customers worldwide.

For the past few years, OCS has entered into Gigabit-capable Passive Optical Network (GPON) business by offering Optical Network Termination (ONT) Management and Control Interface (OMCI) stack for both Optical Line Termination (OLT) and ONT equipment. In addition, OCS offers ONT total software solution based on the reference design provided by various System on Chip (SoC) vendors. OCS also offers OLT total management solution for both Pizza box and chassis based OLT configuration.

Recently, OCS has entered into wireless business and offers product and solutions related to wireless-based Real Time Location Tracking System (RTLTS), Unified WiFi Communication System and 3G/4G wireless enabled FEMTO add-on capability for GPON ONTs.
